You'll probably see a few Evidence questions about objections. Best to divide these into two categories
--Objectives to admitted evidence
--Objections to excluded evidence
As for admitting evidence, the objection must be timely (while the witness is testifying). And the party objecting must state the specific ground, unless it was apparent from the context.
As for excluding evidence, a party must inform the court of the substance of the objection unless that substance was apparent from the context.
Worth noting that for both admitting and excluding evidence, objections are only proper if the error objected to affects a substantial right of a party. See more @ https://www.law.cornell.edu/rules/fre/rule_103
